Chooo! It’s been a heck of a year! New wholesale facility on the way, local and national partnerships, franchise locations and that’s just the last few months! It’s been a lot of work, but at the end of the day, we’re a family making the food we love and sharing it with our community. We are blessed to have the support and love of our fans near and far. As we look forward to new opportunities in 2022, let’s take a look back at some of the highlights of 2021.
35 Year Anniversary
It seems like it was just yesterday that Robert Cormier was standing with Uncle Brud in that empty lot in Scott, La dreaming up a plan to create a specialty meats supermarket that could captivate every taste bud in the South. Today, Robert and the Cormier family still have the same values and passion from when that dream first became a reality in 1986.
Kitchen Expansion
More delicious Cajun food made it to the Best Stop Supermarket menu following the expansion of the Best Stop Kitchen! This expansion allowed for more variety of meals to be offered such as hot sandwiches, plate lunches and breakfast items.
Franchise Locations
In addition to offering items nationwide through e-commerce and wholesale, franchising opportunities were introduced to entrepreneurs looking to join the Best Stop family. New Best Stop franchise locations can be expected in 2022 in Carencro, Toledo Bend and Broussard!
ESPN True South Special
Did you catch Mr. Robert dancing on ESPN? We linked up with True South to show them what its like livin’ in “the buckle on the boudin belt that stretches across Cajun Country”! It was a joy giving the True South team a taste of Cajun Country.

Ragin Cajun Partnership
We’ve been fueling Cajuns for decades with our signature boudin and specialty meats, but this year we made things official with Ragin Cajuns! In addition to sponsoring the Best Stop Defensive Play of the Game, we sent one lucky Cajuns fan home with FREE BOUDIN FOR A YEAR with our Bring Home the Boudin Sweepstakes. We look forward to growing this partnership as the Official Boudin of the Ragin Cajuns in 2022!
1 Year Wholesale Anniversary
The Best Stop team celebrated one year of operations for its new state-of-the-art wholesale facility. Since its opening, this facility has allowed Best Stop products to be purchased online nationwide, made into specialty dishes and stocked at stores in the region. The Best Stop’s authentic Cajun products are now available in over 260 retail locations!
2022 and Beyond
2021 was a year of blessings, challenges and opportunities for the Best Stop team. No matter what comes our way in 2022, we appreciate that none of this would be possible without the continued support of our customers both local and nationwide.
