We’re so excited to finally announce that some of your favorite Best Stop products are now available for purchase at all Rouses Markets locations in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama!
After years of planning and development, we opened the doors to our wholesale facility back in October 2020. Since then, we’ve been working hard to expand our operations so that we can expand our reach and share our Cajun-Certified products with even more people across the country. Our partnership with Rouses is the first (of hopefully many) major grocery retailers to begin selling our products on their shelves.
“From one Louisiana family-owned business to another, partnering with Rouses was an easy decision,” said Penny Gennuso, chief financial officer of The Best Stop. “I’ve shopped there for years, so to see our products on the shelves is completely surreal.”
You can now find our Cajun and Cajun Garlic Seasonings; Original, Mild and Smoked Boudins; Boudin Party Links; Smoked Pork Sausage; Andouille; and Pork Tasso in the fresh meat section at all Rouses locations. We’ve been satisfying the taste buds of locals and visitors alike since opening in 1986, and we have no plans of stopping anytime soon! The addition of our 15,000-square-foot wholesale distribution center has allowed us to dramatically increase our production capacity to support the growing demand for our already-popular products. We are so proud of how far our little mom-and-pop shop has come, and we’re so grateful to our loyal customers who have helped turn our dreams into a reality.

I’ve always believed that food brings people together—that’s just something ingrained in us Cajuns—and now we have the opportunity to invite even more people to try our products. We’re so grateful for each and every one of our customers. Whether they’re here or 2,000 miles away, at the end of the day, they’re all a part of our family.”
And Rouses is only the beginning—we have BIG plans for the future of The Best Stop. We’re continuing to reach new production milestones and are in talks with several major grocery retailers to continue expanding our distribution partners in 2021 and beyond.
